Extinction Rebellion and a number of other environmentalist groups decided to try to obstruct roads and highways around Holland over the weekend amidst a report about the Dutch government’s fossil fuel subsidies. According to the Associated Press, the Dutch government announced they will have to end their support of renewable energy sources, though no time line was given when that would happen. Dutch News says police arrested a little over 3,000 people.
Not surprisingly, Extinction Rebellion and company have vowed to continue until their demands are met. Gang green has obviously been emboldened since the Dutch government signed on to the World Economic Forum’s demands related to nitrogen emissions last year.
While the average European faces high inflation and food price increases, climate cult groups have ramped up their eco-terror campaigns. During July, Greta Thunberg was fined by a Swedish court for participating in a blockade of oil tankers seeking to dock in a Malm port.
