The Polar Bear Is No Longer The Climate Alarmist’s Mascot

Five years ago, Dr. Susan Crockford lost her job at the University of Victoria in Canada resulting from publishing a book pointing out, contrary to what climate alarmists claimed, that polar bear populations were increasing and not decreasing.

During 2017, Dr. Crockford narrated a video for the Global Warming Policy Foundation revealing why the polar bear was no longer useful for climate alarmists.

As Dr. Crockford points out in the above video, the polar bear was long used by climate alarmists (literally like a mascot) to symbolize the plight of nature resulting from human-induced climate change. Now, that is no longer the case.

On the surface this is good news and is one more claim used by climate alarmists that has been debunked. However, while polar bears tend to be one of the few species that actually hunt humans, a lucrative industry are polar bear safaris that will also benefit Nunavut Indians who (for good reason) tend to dislike large polar bear populations.
