Trump’s Energy Secretary Chris Wright has been working very hard to unravel the complex network of climate-focused funding. He found that in the last weeks of the Biden administration, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) rapidly distributed nearly $100 billion in green energy loans and commitments.

During an interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business, he explained that this amount dwarfed the $42 billion the DOE’s Loan Programs Office had lent over the prior 15 years.
