Twenty years ago, Al Gore’s documentary An Inconvenient Truth premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, earning a standing ovation (with some accounts noting multiple ovations). Despite containing several predictions that ultimately didn’t materialize, the film played a pivotal role in sparking and energizing the modern climate activism movement.
