Yesterday, Police repelled approximately 1,000 animal rights activists with the Coalition to Save the Ridglan Dogs cult who attempted to illegally enter Ridglan Farms, a beagle breeding and research operation in Wisconsin. Law enforcement deployed rubber bullets and pepper spray against the demonstrators and detained the protest organizer.

This was the second time in two months protesters have tried to remove beagles from Ridglan Farms, located in Blue Mounds—a small community roughly 25 miles southwest of Madison, the state capital.

In a video statement, Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said that 300 to 400 protesters were violently trying to break into the property and assault officers. He said protesters have ignored designated areas for peaceful protest and blocked roads to prevent emergency vehicles from entering.

Worst of all, many Wisconsin elected officials, like Governor Tony Evers, issued statements supporting the terrorist’s actions.

This was anything but a peaceful protest and, thankfully, these nihilists were stopped. As a result of this, Ridglan Farms should not only sue these terrorists but also break its promise to not sell to laboratories beagles for animal testing. Since these punks acted despite the farm agreeing to stop, Ridglan Farms is no longer bound by their promise.

Julie Vrzeski best expressed the sentiment of Coalition to Save the Ridglan Dogs effort to break and enter Ridglan Farms, telling the Wisconsin State Journal I feel so defeated.
