This Oregonian article from 2019 is a reprint of an article The Washington Post published two years ago, except you don’t have to contend with The Post‘s paywall. I wanted to drive home some points the article makes that may not have been too clear when I first did. WaPo‘s article clearly demonstrates the link between anti-vaccine organizations and environmentalists. It should be noted that WaPo reveals that the Selz’s are clearly on the political left (emphasis mine):
“Hedge fund manager and philanthropist Bernard Selz and his wife, Lisa, have long donated to organizations focused on the arts, culture, education and the environment. But seven years ago, their private foundation embraced a very different cause: groups that question the safety and effectiveness of vaccines.”
According to The Post, the Selz’s also support and Lisa Selz heads the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) that was founded by former daytime TV show producer Del Bigtree. Please read The Washington Post‘s article since it is excellent and it establishes that the anti-vaccine movement is supported by environmentalists, like the Selz’s. During December of 2019, The Post published another good article detailing how medical quack Joseph Mercola funds anti-vaccine organizations with the Selz’s.
The reason why the Selz’s shifted one of their focuses to vaccines is obvious. Since they are environmentalists, the Selz’s are two people out of many who get enjoyment, not only watching the world burn, but also knowing the little people they resent suffer and die.
