Since a record breaking November storm Buffalo, New York reports snow piles as high as ten feet still melting despite it being late July. The Associated Press states snow piles were the result of city crews who dumped the snow in Buffalo’s Central Terminal resulting from a lake-effect storm that affected the area the week prior to Thanksgiving. The storm dumped snow as high as seven feet but eight months later, some of the snow is still there.
Despite this being a man-made phenomenon and the snow covered by dirt with grass growing on top of the piles, the fact that the snow hasn’t melted yet reminds me of newscasts in April when ice on Lake Superior that caused eighteen freighters to get stuck. NPR reported back then that the ice that was three feet thick and two weeks prior took up as much as seventy five percent of the lake.
There is also the Canadian scientific expedition that was canceled last week due to ice in the Hudson Bay being too thick for the vessel involved in the voyage to get through. Back in May, The Weather Channel, citing NASA Earth Observatory estimates, stated Alaska’s Hubbard Glacier is expanding and December of last year Live Science revealed that Antarctica ice sheets are growing and maybe a repeat of what happened during the Pliocene epoch that took place almost 3 million years ago.
Just recently, it snowed in Montana, snow that fell in Massachusetts back in February took five months to melt, in Chile heavy snowfalls forced 14 municipalities to declare a state of emergency due to people and animals being killed resulting from the weather and in New South Wales, Australia cold weather never seen before resulted in a record number of livestock deaths.
All of the above mentioned events including the recent study released by Russian scientists stating that solar activity was predicted to fall by sixty percent by the year 2030, an event on par with the Maunder Minimum, leads me to conclude that we are on the verge of or are already in a new mini ice age. Of course the climate alarmists are denying this since they stand to lose not only a lot of money but also credibility if an ice age occurs. Funny how alarmists doubt science that contradicts their view but call people who aren’t convinced or question the science of human-caused global warming as climate deniers and then attempt to issue studies that contradict the causes of major weather events, like the Little Ice Age, and seeking to erase the Medieval Warm Period.
